SOC 2 readiness
SOC 2 readiness consulting
A SOC 2 readiness consultant starts from the controls, the access, and the evidence your team already produces. PCI sits in the same pass when payments are in scope. Engagements are remote-first across the U.S., and on-site travel is available. We work around your normal operations, and we'll need access to the right areas and the right people while we do.
When the questionnaire arrives
A customer questionnaire, an audit date, or a near miss is usually why a company texts. Alerts live in different inboxes. Leadership has one story. The floor has another.
Another person on a dashboard does not close that gap. We compare the questionnaire to the week the company already runs, then write what disagrees.
Controls, access, and evidence
We compare SOC 2 and PCI evidence with the controls in use. Identity is in the same pass: who can reach customer data, payments, and production. Onboarding, offboarding, and the last access review are in it.
Executives get one account. Records that match controls is the wider pass. This one starts from the control the questionnaire names.
Where an alert goes
Operations without a destination for the alert leaves failures undetected. The people who watch alerts, the people who run the systems, and leadership use the same account of what the alert means and who decides. If that chain stops, the written account says where it stops.
A finding in one area becomes a correction in the others. We do not add a person to a dashboard and call the chain fixed. We work around your normal operations, and we'll need access to the right areas and the right people while we do.
One posture
Identity, network, cloud, and endpoint controls are one posture. A path often crosses more than one of them. Security, quality, and infrastructure are examined as one system, from hardware and networks through cloud and data.
The work is specific to the environment you run. Penetration testing with retest is how that posture is checked. ISO 27001 readiness is how the record is made to match it. We'll need access to the right areas and people for either one.
Access we need from your team
You text the pressure. We take this list. We'll need access to the right areas and the right people while we do.
- The systems that matter if something goes wrong: customer data, payments, production, identity. One owner each.
- Who has access today, including shared, leftover, and unexplained accounts.
- The date of the last access review, and who signed it. No date is a finding.
- For SOC 2 or PCI, one control walked against the path the work actually takes.
- Vendors that hold data or can change a system, the cost, and the owner.
- Places where two products disagree about the same person or the same job.
We write the scope before the work starts. Once you approve it, we'll need access to the right areas and people. The method is map, name, join, prove, leave.
AI only if the evidence is already true
We will put AI on a step people already do, such as sorting evidence they already produce. We review the exposure and the cost. A model that needs its own team is not a control.
If the evidence describes a different operation than the floor, collecting it faster keeps it wrong. The path comes first.
What this page is not
This page is not a security operations center, and it is not a retainer that takes the keyboard during an active breach. If that is the need, say so in the text. We will say if this is not the fit.
Incident response readiness names owners, access you can revoke, and a week your team can run. We do not quote a response time.
ISO 27001 readiness and penetration testing with retest are neighboring pages, not this engagement. We do not issue an ISO/IEC 27001 certificate.
The account your team keeps
You receive what holds, what disagrees, and the order to close it. Procedures, owners, and the record stay with you. We leave when your team can run the next week. We do not leave a system that needs us in the meeting.

Tell us the pressure: an audit, access, a questionnaire, or an incident with no owner. Engagements are remote-first across the U.S., and on-site travel is available. We work around your normal operations, and we'll need access to the right areas and the right people while we do. If it is not a fit, we say so.
